Senior 3D Artist

Responsibilities

• Reviewing all the 3D work that the team is doing, making sure that what is sent to the client is always excellent
• Analyzing the assets and inform the team on how the work process could be improved
• Coaching and Support for the Junior Art team
• Management, Training, Support and Supervision for the Junior team
• Working on projects whenever possible/needed => modeling, texturing, rigging, animation… anything that could help the team
• Making workshops and proposing new work methods so that the team is more efficient, works quicker, and the global output is better
• Participating in the recruitment process of the new artist, identifying the needs in the team, making the skill tests and reviewing them, selecting the best artists to join SDS and help us grow
• Working on all the time estimations along with the Creative Director, making sure we are always accurate
• Being very proactive: when receiving new project, needs to carefully analyze and find the best way to complete the task
• Being an example for the team of artist, have high dedication and commitment sense

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent training course in graphic design, ideally with 3D art as a focus
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the gaming industry
• Extensive experience in high and low poly modeling, UV mapping, texturing
• Excellent knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge of Unity 
• Knowledge of ZBrush or Mudbox is a big advantage
• Structured, result-oriented working approach, tailored to each individual project
• Experience in explaining technical skills and information, e.g. in workshops
• Good social and communication skills
• Some experience of leading teams (technical or in general)
• Good written and spoken English
